ECTV TECHNOLOGY CENTER

CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR BASIC MICROSOFT OFFICE CLASSES

The ECTV Technology Center is a computer center operated by Everett Community TV for the benefit of Everett residents.  Located on the lower level of Everett City Hall adjacent to the ECTV studios, the Center offers computer access for its members, as well as classes in computer and Internet usage and in basic software applications.  The Center is also the home of several digital video editing workstations that are available for access television producers who have completed the requisite training through ECTV.

Membership

To become a member, an applicant must be an Everett resident and must furnish proof of residency upon applying.  Several usage agreements will need to be read and signed, and parental consent is required for minors.  Once a membership is approved, the new user will be issued a membership card to be presented each time they visit the Center.  There are a total of twelve computers that are available for members on a first-come, first-serve basis.  Users can perform basic computer tasks, set up and utilize e-mail accounts, access the Internet, and can also print out documents for a small fee.  Certain activities, such as downloading programs onto the computers and accessing Internet sites that may be in any way offensive to others, are strictly prohibited.

Classes

Computer classes are also offered to residents, and in certain instances, to non-residents as well.  The Center holds classes for both beginning computer users with no prior experience, as well as for more experienced users who wish to learn about various commonly used software applications.  These classes are offered both during the Center’s normal business hours as well as in the evenings.  Contact us for specific information as to what classes are being held, and when.  Most classes require advance registration and a modest fee for class materials.

Hours

The Technology Center is open during the following hours:

-  Monday–1:00pm–6:30pm (these hours change to Tuesday in the event of a Monday holiday when City Hall is closed)

- Wednesday & Thursday–9:00am-3:00pm (closed for holidays that fall on those days)
